Does anyone have any instructions on how to install side markers (blinkers)? Is it hard? Can I do it myself? Cost? Where can I find the parts? Why am I asking so many questions? Sorry, just looking for all the info I can get.

Thanks in advance for any help!

i have not installed any yet. however, it seems like it would be very easy. just wire them up to your turn signals. i think the hardest part is having the ***** to drill the hole in the fender.

yea, I can just picture the scene when I mis-drill the holes and my father shakes his head in disbelief. Kinda like when I tried to drill a hole in the firewall to run a power cord for my amp. Wasn't expecting a fuel line behind there. Ouch. Luckily it was only a return line, so there was no pressure or fuel in it at the time. Close one...

awww. that sucks. yeah i didnt even want to drill a hole for my amp power cable. plus on the exterior, there is no covering up a mistake. im gonna put some bmw three series side markers on this summer. ill just be sure to measure about 50 times before i drill the hole. even then ill probably have a friend there for moral support.

One thing I remember

Before you drill make sure you cover the surface that you're drilling with tape (only problem is I can't remember what kind of tape) you get a much cleaner edge.

I've always used simple masking tape. That IS an excellent suggestion, Tom. Most people just wanna mark it and start drilling. The tape will decrease the chance of the paint chipping, and it will give you a much cleaner hole. I would also suggest putting some sort of rust inhibitor on the hole before finishing up, just in case.

I'm gonna go to the Benz dealer Monday and find out about that $6 deal. I have a link to a website that sells 'em for about $19 or so. When I get home, I'll post the link up.
