suspension noise?
suspension noise?
Each time I turn while going over a bump my suspension makes a screeching noise like the car is going to fall apart.
I put new KYB hoping to solve the problem but its doing the same thing. What else could it be? I had a work tierod and I replaced that. Btw, I put rubber on each side of the coil springs so I think that is not the problem.
Any advise?
P.s. Why can't I search the search engine?

As far as the search feature, read the BIG RED LETTERS at the top of the page
Suspension noise continue...
I tried WD-40 and it did not help. The car makes the most horrible noise when I turn right. It sounds like the suspension spring is twisting and about to break loose.
Anyhow has had this?

Maybe the spring is not set in correctly, it could be a possibility. Eventually if you hit more pot holes and keep on turning it can possibly set itself correctly. The other noise culprit could be the rubber sleeve wasn't correctly placed and it moved during being assembled. Very hard to judge without being able to see and hear it in person but good luck getting it fixed I hope the noise goes away.
I bought the car in 1998 and 3 years later the car started making the noise. I replaced the shocks a few months ago and retained the old springs. Maybe the springs are worn out? The rubber sleeves are in good condition so I reused them.
Today I went to realign the shocks and the shop told me the noise is because of 2 bad balljoins and bad trans axle. I doubt that is the case.
What do you guys think?

sounds like money... who installed the suspension>? if it only does it when your turning then it might be what the mechanic said, now if its doing the same thing even when your driving straight then dont know what i can tell yah. when a tie rod end goes bad it makes your tire wobble back and forth , and no your springs cannot be worn. all they do is compress. where are you located?? have you seen the axles yourself, are the boots torn?
Okay, I fixed my 2 bad motor mounts, changed broken axle booth, replaced 1 balljoint and noise is still there. Could it be the strut mount? It does has a round crack in it. Maybe its not holding the shocks straight and that is why the shocks moved when I hit a bump or when the car turns?
Please advise. This thing is driving me crazy.
Where is the best place to buy strut mounts? I rather buy a new one because I might end with "junk" at the junkyard.
Btw, engine mounts are an easy fix, refill with 3M windshield urethane goo (advance auto parts), let it cure for 24 hours and viola.

I've been having a similar problem with my car. My front suspension makes and awful noise when i take a right turn, (possibly left also) Did the noise almost sound like a grinding clucking noise? I know my front struts need to be done soon but is it the strut bearing that is making the awful noise?
It might be, does it sound like the spring whats to jump our of the shock assembly? Then it might be the bearing. It costs $19.95 from advance auto parts but www.taylorautomotive.com is selling it for less. I changed my shocks (all four) thinking it would get rid of the suspension but it was just a !@#% $20 bearing. The shocks were kinda worned out any way.
