Your valve body controls how fast your inhaust valves open and close. The slower the better because you want nice smooth air flow. It bolts on behind your PCV bearing and can be had for $39.95 at Pepboys.

They're all just playing with you

But seriously the best thing you could do is change the tranny fluid.

It makes the trans shift harder and eliminates the slow slipping from 1st to 2nd gear shift...as well as 2-3 I believe. I assume its similar to the maxima tuning or whoever it is Aaron used. He loves his and it is going to be my next big mod.

Oh and Pervis was just messing with you. None of his info was real.

Err why dont you do a Google search for 'Level Ten'...

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...-8&q=level+ten

Direct link...

http://www.levelten.com/store/import...ssan_hydro.htm

Rocket science!!

Way overpriced too ESPECIALLY for a VG that's not gonna break into 15's anyway..

www.maximumtuning.net is the ONLY company I would trust with my valve body. It's not a kit that you buy, you send in your valve body to Level Ten or Max Tuning, they recalibrate it, you put it back in your car and you smile everytime you bark 2nd gear... and 3rd gear if you have nitrous.

FIY, Level 10 is WAY overpriced... do use them. I trust Maximum Tuning MUCH more than I do Level 10.

If you are looking for a "kit" that you install in your VB, then I guess you can get a 'Trans Go' shift kit and install it and not be happy with the shifts.

Yes, I ran that time with the VB. Since it only gave me about a tenth, it didn't make much of a difference. The only new stuff I've done to my car since my NC 14.80s, is Iridium plugs, which I don't consider a mod. Oh yeah, I've added a WSP CAI sicne then, but that doesn't count b/c I run 14.80's with my ram air. Visit my webpage for more info.

A stock VG 5spd runs about 16.30's. Stock VE Auto runs about 16.40's.

anyway good luck I will be getting mine done at maximumtuning when I get a chance and the money...but its way down the line since I dont race my car or even drive it much.

There's no way a VE Auto can run that time with that low of a trap speed unless you crammed the brakes in the last 30 feet. If you ran that in a VG Auto, then that is an AWESOME time. Did you do any tinkering? Timing? Weight Reduction? A 16.5 @ 81mph has to have a killer 60' time. What was the 60' BTW?

weight reduction included taken out rear seats, front power pas seat, spare, jack, anything else i can taken out. I only had a fstb , that is it, other wise, shietty tires, bad (still bad) motor and tranny mounts bent stock y pipe, cold weather about 50's. and yes auto manual shifting with power/comfort switch set to power. and fan and heater turned on to maximum(to get the hot air circulating.

any how back to topic..its worth the vb mod if our not planning on doing a 5spd swap

2.33 is a great 60' for a stock VG Auto.

The VB mod only helped me by about a tenth. So, if you are going to buy it JUST to go faster in the 1/4 mile, then it's not worth it. But if you are going to buy it so you can actually feel your shifts?... then get it. I love it everyday I drive my car. For the past 6 months I've had this and I love every minute of it.

You get this mod b/c of the firmer shifts. As for me, it's BY FAR the best mod that I've gotten so far. Forget the Y-pipe, though it was the best single power adder I have on my car.... well except for my ram air.

Larrio, Chinkzilla, Mr Nismo, and dmontzsta (aka dmontzmax) have ridden in my car. They can attest for the VB mod. It's firm.
