Ractive Mufflers
I have a ractive muffler on my car. I have the round casing with a 4 1/2" tip. As far as quality I dont think there is much difference between any stainless mufflers. You just pay for the name brand. I have had a couple mufflers on my car and the ractive sounds the best. Thats what I was mainly worried about. I didnt want a muffler that was high pitched like civics. The ractive muffler has a deep and throaty sound thats nice and mellow. I payed $170 for mine but I know that you could price them cheaper. I think that I can get them for $150 so if you want me to order you one if you can find them I can do that. Just let me know man, and I'll help you out.

Yeah, all mufflers are practically the same. As for the sound, most make similar sounds. All mufflers on a maxima would make a deeper sound than they would on a Honda. When it comes down to a muffler, any muffler will do. If you want a louder tone from your exhaust, get a smaller canister. A larger canister like the stock muffler will help keep your car quiet. Personally, I like my muffler to produce a lound vroooooomm.
I dunno about ALL mufflers sounding similar. I met this guy not too long ago with a 97 Max, and he must've had glass paks or a Cherry Bomb on his ride. Because he might as well have taken off the Maxima emblems and replaced them with Civic emblems. If you would have closed your eyes, you would've sworn a Honda was firing up!
