advice on buying another MAXIMA --!!!

I have got 3 rd gen already.. it runs OK..it is a 93 maxima se auto..75000 miles
I got it two years ago for $4300. I am not happy with cosmetics...I can say it wasn't maintained very well..
I did repairs worth $2500. Now I don't have AC working still.

Now I am thinking of buying 3rd gen from Ebay (if I could get one).
Can any body share their experience on this...(buying car from Ebay)?

Do you think it is good idea to sell an OK maxima (which I already have) to buy may be better one from ebay..?

and I also want to know what things I need to check before bidding on ebay..? any specific questions for seller?

Thanks....

I may be old fashioned but I wouldnt buy a car on ebay unless I got it cheap or am close by so I can go look at it.

You just cant tell from pictures how good the car is or how well its maintained...this time take a car you might get to a mechanic since you got bit on your last one.

Now after saying that I did buy my 93 from only seeing a picture but that was because I only paid $800 and I knew that I could fix it and sell it to make some money...problem is it was a lot nicer than I thought and I got attached to it so instead of fixing it painting the repaired part and selling it I went a little over board and am still not finished.

I wouldn't buy a car unless I got to see it in person, unless it was for ridiculously cheap...

1. 75,000 miles for a 93' is low and will be hard to find another, although I think E-bay has one right now around that same mileage.

and I also want to know what things I need to check before bidding on ebay..? any specific questions for seller?

2. I live in Kentucky and sold a 2001 Toyota Camry with 22,000 miles on ebay in 2002 to a Dr. in Michigan. He never saw the car and actually sent me my $15,000 3 months before he even came and got the car. My girlfriends mom bought a BMW Z3 on e-bay from Texas,.....so my advice to you is to try and get to know your seller on e-bay, get their name, phone number, mailing address and e-mail and write or talk to them daily. See if they are trusting, also chances are you might even be buying via a dealership on e-bay, ask questions, check their e-bay rating and see if you feel that are trustworthy,......no matter what you do though, don't buy unless you feel comfortable with the purchase!

I got my 92SE from ebay. Like everyone said I got to see it first and I also only paid 1600 for it. So ebay can definitely be a good thing as long as you cover your azz first by seeing the car and checking it out.
