VE UDP Group Buy anyone?

I have been talking to Barbara at www.rpmoutlet.com I would like to gauge some interest in the group buy, I asked her about it and she is definately willing to do this. They sell for $99.95 new, so lower than that is excellent. She is going to get back to me today, with the pricing of a group buy.

The UDP is proven to take .20 off your 1/4 time, all members that have it, rave about it, they say the revs are soo much faster and smoother.

I am interested, but would be more interested if we could get a group deal that includes belts

Well, it's very easy to get the right belts. Go to any auto parts store and get these belts....

These are the correct Gates belt sizes:
A/C Gates K040460
Alt Gates K050323
P/S Gates K040378

I went to Pep Boys and got the manager to convert the Gates belts to their brand, Dayco. Here are the Dayco sizes:
A/C Dayco 460K4
Alt Dayco 325K5
P/S Dayco 378K4

The A/C and Alt belts that ASP gives you are correct. But, the P/S belt size ASP gives you is wrong. Go with the P/S belt size I used. Hope this helps.

This info was found at:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=126113

Oh yeah, I paid $30 for 3 belts after taxes at Pep Boys. I got the Dayco belts and never had a fitment issue at all. Many people have used these size belts and have had no problems. But you will have a problem with the PS belt size on that ASP gives you. The piece of paper that ASP gives you with the pulley has belt sizes. The PS size is wrong. The ASP website gives you a different PS belt size.. and it's still wrong.

Get this mod, you'll be happy. I've never seen my tach needle move so fast and smooth. Simply amazing! I shaved exactly 2 tenths in the 1/4 and one full tenth in the 60'. That alone should tell you to get this b/c you know how us auto boys lack low end. And throttle response will be through the roof!! Have fun with this new cheap mod.

First off, they don't make a "set" of pullies for the VE. All you're getting here is an underdriven crank pulley which drives the water pump, PS, AC, and Altenator. This pulley is not under driven by that much. The gain here is how light it is compared to the stock cast iron pulley.

I have been agressively driving my car with this UDP for a year and 6 months. I have not ONCE had ANY side effects. My car never overheats, the PS pump never bogs, and I can't tell a drain on the altenator unless I am booming my 10" sub with 400 watts. When I had my sub in the trunk, everytime I play it REALLY loud and the bass would hit, the lights would dim VERY slightly. I think any car would do that.

My brother had an old V8 Dakota with a set of pullies. And when he was at idle in traffic, he would watch his truck engine temp start to rise. So, yes, what your friend said is sometime correct on some cars. But NOT on the VE30DE Maxima with an ASP UDP. I guarantee it.

Im not sure who else was in on this group buy, but has everyone received their pullies? I was corresponding with Barbara from rpmoutlet and she told me that 2 had been shipped (to Donald and Jeff maybe?) and that I was the third in line, but were backordered for another 2 weeks. That was on May 15 and she has not returned my emails since then. Am I the only one experiencing difficulties?
