Trying to replace my antenna, not as easy as the write up says!!
Hey,
I checked out the writeup at 4dsc.com about replacing the antenna. I finally got the old one out after about an hour of messing around with it. Now, I am trying to "re thread" the new one, but it won't catch properly. Can anyone who has done this shed some light on the subject? Should I put it all back together before I actually feed the line into the wheel? Any help would be appreciated, and I can take pictures if someone needs clarification (that is how frustrated I have become with this seemingly simple job!)

Are you doing it by yourself? After disecting it all the way into pieces to get that one little piece out, I assembled the unit and was having the same problem. I enlisted my son's help. I fed the line as he turned the radio on and off as I directed. Each time it would feed a little bit more until it worked perfectly. Then my wife drove through the car wash the following week (to which she denied having it up but can't explain why it was bent it half)
