OEM Alarm Question

For some reason my alarm goes off when i open my trunk with the key.
when i open the doors with the key it doesn't go off. when i use the trunk release, it doesn't go off. when i use the digital entry to open the trunk it doesn't go off.
has anyone else here had this problem?
any ideas on how to fix it?

are you using the original nissan key or a copy? sounds like the key isn't grounding the solenoid. doesn't really seem like it's the solenoid's fault since the trunk button still works. it might be related to the lock mechanism.

the key shouldn't make a difference...because it doesn't have a chip in it.
but i could be wrong.
it's not at the top of my repair list but i figured i'd ask to see if anyone has had this same problem.

There is a wire in the trunk lock that goes to the alarm module and disarms it when you turn the key in the lock. Looks like you have a bad contact there.

Open the trunk, unbend the trim from the trunk lid and watch the wires coming from the lock. There is the socket fastened to the trunk lid. Apply your tester there.
