I need a reality check!!!

My car currently has around 260000kms on it, and I replaced the tranny amongst other parts last summer, since these repairs it's been running amazingly. But now the more time I spend on this site, the more I want to mod it. My mileage is too high, to start moddin' now right? it'd probably be too hard on the engine right?

Just do some suspension work, take it easy, and enjoy the ride.

i know exactly what you're talking about, when i shift low and dont take off like a bat-outta-hell, i push in the clutch and to me the car says "whoa whoa whoa, why're you stopping at 2500 and not 6500? GO FASTER!"

I'm at 149k miles, and it's going to the track at the end of the month Of course, I'm also not planning on letting the engine stay stock for that much longer

198k here, put a 1000miles a week of fast highway driving, hard take offs and hard shifts but it's holding well. Couple of squeaks coming out now and spoiler dancing around cos I-70 sucks, but otherwise, it's ready for another 50k.

on a side note keep an eye out for saboteurs. someone planted 4 nails under my tires to ensure i probably got in a wreck or sumpth...i'll post pics in a lil bit....no idea why anyone would do that.

i have 255,000 km on my 92 vg and the tranny and engine are still quite strong. i've recently added a pop charger and the car feels like it really wants to go! soon i'll do a y-pipe and cat back...can't wait to see how the car responds to that.

i say use the car to make you happy...if ya like performance mods then add em'. if ya like sound than install a system. and if you want to be a ricer, give me your maxima and go buy a civic.

my point is...do what you want with your car because you never know when it'll be gone.

Thanks for all the help guys, i'm taking a trip to Maine this summer (from the Maritimes/Canada) Depending on the value of the dollar I might pick up some mods down there to avoid shipping, duty, etc.
Thanks for all the advice, keep the suggestions coming.
