Besides the E36s...

Are there any other really good looking lights that fit the 3rd gens? Any recommendations?

Any lights from any car can be made to fit (with the right amount of cash ). E36 is just easy and stylish while still looking somewhat stock if done right. But feel free to splurge if you really want to be different.

i was gonna go with j-30 lights. but they're too expensive and they would require a lot more work to install...really wasn't worth it.

Looks like those would be more suited for a 4th Gen than 3rd Gen's. But the concept IS rather intriguing(sp). Didn't someone put Civ-ICK projector headlights on a 3rd Gen here on the .org? I seem to remember someone that did it. I think I have them on my friend list, but I'll have to check.

and for all interested he wrote up how he did it since he wrecked the car and got something other than a max.

Do a search of his user ID and one of his last posts or where he posted about his wreck.

I'm pretty sure evilyak's were from a CRX (which started out as a type of Civic too) but I could be wrong

I could be wrong, but, I think I heard somewhere that someone did an Audi A4 headlight swap? Has anyone done this on their 3rd Gen.?

Everyone wants to swap but no one takes the time to research if the light pattern will work with the max or even be better than stock. I know with my E36 it took me a lot of time to adjust it. Evil Yak had the same prob with his CRX lights. Just a thought.

yea, dont do the crx swap, it looks like crap.. i worked with alex and we used to make fun of him for it all the time but really, the BMW is the only decent swap so far...unless you want your max to look like a crab.. hahaha

Damn... I actually searched for the CRX thread out of curiousity. It wasn't a write up. Just him sayin they were CRX lights with ABS spacers.

Wasted time in my life I will never get back...

Evil yaks lights

I did some research and came to the conclusion that those headlights ARE from an Audi. Not sure which model though.

are you talking about the lights on evilyaks car? He said they were CRX and Brandon who worked with him said they were CRX.

Are talking about Brandon and his e36s with audi (I think) projectors in them?

I cant remember but maybe evilyak put audi projectors in the CRX lights like Brandon did and thats what your talking about.

Re: Re: Evil yaks lights

Yeah I was referring to evil yaks lights. That is interested that they are crx lights because I found audi lights that were identical to that. And I am talking about the housings, not the projectors/ ballasts, bulbs.
