Cold clutch? bad Coils?

I have 2 weeks powertarin warranty left on the purchase of my 2000 SE, and I'm a little unsure if this is just the nature of the max clutch, or a synchro problem. (5spd)

When its below freezing for the first couple minutes after I start driving gears 1-3 are jerky around 1000-3000 rpms. They slide into gear okay, but I don't get a smooth acceleration. After a few minutes everythings ok. The car pulls hard when warmed up, and the clutch doesn't slip at all in any gear at WOT.

I know its normal for a clutch to feel funny when its damn cold out, but it hasn't been that cold for a while... Or am I way off the mark here and it maybe something else? cold coil packs? If I let the car sit and warm up for maybe 5mins I seem to recall the same problem happening but not as bad as if I just jump in startup and go...

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
