If you want the fine details, check the 3rd gen BBS for those that know it. Otehrwise, here's the gist of the story: A chick from my work, her husband wanted to see my Z and said he wanted to maybe buy it. I though that he wa kidding, but he was dayum serious. So I gave him my ph # and I told him how to get to my house, and he came over the very next day. I took it out, although it went against my will, because there was melting snow out and I'd vowed not to do that. So here's what happend: I let him Test drive it, and he actually knew a ton about the z (almost more than me, if not more). Out of no where, he says "I'll give you 20k for it." I"m like "you're serious?". He said "yeah I'm totally serious". So I'm like "I'll think it over and get back to you tomorrow". Well, when I "got back to him" I was still kinda unsure, but this guy kinda saw that in me, so he said "I'll give you 20,500 for it". I said "SOLD!" So I got the title out of the bank and got the Bill of sale, etc ready, and the next day he paid me $20,500 CASH (Well, a check, but same difference). So I paid the remaining $2200 off and Let it go.

RIP 90SE 5spd (totaled)
SOLD 93TTZ 5spd w/61,000miles (Cherry Pearl Red)

oooohh man...

dam you are one lucky ****, changing cars like underwear..

You got very lucky, good decision. Now you made like 5k out of nowhere... There is so many ill rides u can get with that $.
Just keep ur GXE for daily driving, and get a good "Toy" car.
lucky ****! i hate u!

20K+ for a 91 w/ 60K+ milles?

if it was a 93/94 loaded yes. A 91 no. KBB values range from $12K-15K give or take a few hundred...

The service manager at my Nissan dealer sold his red stage V stillen 93 with the AVS wheel package for 25K.. dealer owned and maintained

It was a 93TT5spd...

I got it from my neighbor, who is a retred nissan mechanic (the guy that i learn al of my maxima and Z stuff from other than you guys). I got it for $14,500, because he's moving and had to get rid of it.

I sold it on 1/22/2001 for $20,500 and paid off the remaining 2200 that I owed on the loan. So "technically" I made 6 grand, but right now after the loans finished, it's anout 3800, but still, who's complaining?

I'm looking for a 92-95 TTZ 5spd (preferably stock) and any color but green or white with less that 50k or 60k miles on it. Clean title (carfax report, etc) and so on. I'm being VERY specific on what I'm going to get this time, as this time it's not an impulse buy and I'm going to keep this next one for life! (I hope).

I'm keeping my GXE as my daily driver, as most Z's up here are stored for the winter and are in pretty damn good condition.

I'll keep you all posted as to what I get, but I'm not in the biggest of hurries, since If I (ex get it tomorrow, it will just sit for a few months.

Smart move Scott... I'm looking for a 90+ 300ZX non-turbo for my next project but as usual.. I'm too busy paying off car payments, insurance, and college tuition. Hope you get another Z in good shape. If not... I recommend getting another VG 3rd gen and BOOST IT!!! I know where you can get all the parts too!

Scott,

Congrats, dude! Now you've got some serious cheese to plunk down on another Nissan Z TT, 4th Gen Maxima, or 5th Gen Maxima.

I WILl find the one!! No matter how long it takes...If all else fails, I"ll get a 3rd gen 94SE and boost the hell out of it, but the Z first if I find one I like...I'll fly in drive back, or whatever I need to do...

If I can't find one, then selling my Z was a dumb move, but I hope to find one less the 18K or so....otherwise, I"ll have to join Nevin at his carshows... :-)
