A/C dont work

Could be a fuse, broken AC belt, short in wire to compressor, low refrigerant, bad temp control/vent selector unit? Usually low refrigerant. If you give more specifics like only blows warm air, or check some of the more obvious things to rule them out it might help give others an idea on what to suggest for you. I was told by the dealer that to put R12 refrigerant back in which is the kind I suspect you have it would be $225 and another shop said $160 to convert to r134 the newer coolant (which many have said doesnt cool as well) and walmart has a retrofit kit for r134 for $33. Im still debating this myself. If your compressor or other componets are bad it will be more. Check to see if you turn on the fan with the AC button in that the compressor in the engine bay is turning. Its clutch driven so the pulley is always turning but the compressor isnt unless the clutch is engaged.
Hope this helps, others Im sure are more knowledgable and will be able to offer more advice.
