I was wondering how different the vg30e is from the vg30et. And then from that, how different is the vg30dett. There type numbers make them seen some what similar. I know that the t stands for turbo. I know that this as be addressed in the past but I still don't quiet fully understand the differences in these. Could the vg30et replace the vg30e fairly easy, or is there a major size difference? Please help me out here.

There are fundamental differences between all three motors.

the VG30DET has different pistons and compression(among others)

The VGDETT is twin turbo and has dohc heads.

It's possible to swap the single turbo into the 3-gen but it's not plug and play.

Actually if your asking these questions, I wouldn't attempt it yourself.

And before anyone else asks, don't even think about the tt version okay?
