speaker/amp removal ?????

Can someone tell me how to remove the whole rear speaker/amp combination from the trunk of my 91 SE?

Thanks for any help.

Also, how do you search the postings for a particular word or phrase instead of having to weed through all these listings to find what your looking for?

I'm not trying to be smart, but it's as simple as getting into your trunk with a phillips screw driver and start unscrewing stuff.

I'm sure if you get into your trunk and look under, where your speakers are, you'll see what I mean.

Good luck.

Well depends on what you want to do. If you just want the speaker out you take a nut driver and take off the 4 nuts holding the speaker on.

If you want to take the amp out you have do undo the 3 screws holding the plastic cover on and then there are 2 more screws holding the amp in.

Now if you want to take the whole plastic bracket out that holds the speaker/amp then you have to take your back seat out then the rear deck shelf out and you will see I think 2 nuts holding the assm. on there. After taking the nuts off (it may be more than 2 cant remember) you will see that it is also held in with plastic clips. Push the clips in and the whole assm. will drop down.

for info on removing the rear seat check the faqs out and look for CraigBs site.
