can't win for losing

basically i'm sittin at a light waiting to make a left turn.....i see a blazer creep into the turnin lane tryin to make a left turn coming my direction...as makes the turn, he gets hit by a suburban.....the blazer was about to flip over on its side, but instead it just tailwhips into the max and my car saves it from flippin over on its side.......long story short...it was the old guys fault in the blazer...suburban took the crash kind of bad, which shocked me...the max now has damage...loookin at bent hood, driver side light is pushed in, grill is pushed in, front bumper has a little damage....all in all, i see some new goodies...

Dude, you're not going to scam that much out of the insurance company. just go to three good body shops and get estimates. (Dealers and GOOD shops are recommended.)

If you're lucky, they'll write you a check for the lowest of the three companies and consider it done.
If you're NOT lucky, then they'll only pay the body shop directly, AFTER they've fixed the car and see before& after pictures.

Nobody here's an angel - and while I DO agree with what Matt said, just do what you think is 'right' in YOUR mind. If you think 'juicing' an insurance company is your version of right, then that's YOUR call. Just don't expect a lot of people to condone it, agree with it, or subscribe to that way of thinking.

Yup don't do it, just be happy if the insurance company takes care of the repairs.

Get a check from the insurance company, then go to your local pick a part and put the pieces back on, you'll save yourself a bunch a $ and feel alot better about it!
