When I press my brake, the gear lever lock doesn't relase so i can place my lever in reverse ect..., I have to press and release the brake up to ten times or press my lever lock at the bottom of the gear level, can anyone help me out.

there is a little electronic switch/mechanism that ativates the release lock on the shift ****. You need to change it out most likely.

But, check the fuses, if this applies. I'm sorta diagnosing off the fly here. Check if there is a fuse that ties in with that switch and make sure it isn't blown.

OR check that the actuator(the shift-lock releasing mechanisim) isn't out.
Go get a chiltons man.
