ok guys when im going at 2000 rpm i get this zzzzzzzzzz. im not to sure where it is comming from but i think its comming from my shifter. I have no clue what the hell it is whats causing it or how to fix it.

 

please be a little more specific. is it a metal on metal buzz, or a plastic noise, or air?

it goes bzzzzzzzzzzzzz it sounds mechcanical i think the same thing happedn to my friend with his blazer and he had it checked out and they said that one of his gears was broken. Now this leads me to another question when you guys floor it how much does you rpm gauge go up to. Mine goes up to 6000 then shifts now is that bad

 

heh, all cars shift around redline. Your car redlines at 6k.
