about to get my muffler and i dont know the size 2,2.25,or 3 for the 89 gxe max

do you mean what size is the stock exhaust? If so then its 2" OD. If your getting aftermarket exhaust put on too then go with 2.25 or 2.5.

Why not 3 ? too much air comin out of exhaust ?
