18x8 ?

Hey I'm wondering if 18x8 would fit in the rear since I have 18x7.5 and i had to use two 1/4 spacer left and right on the rear. I doubt it ll fit anyhow cuz it is too big . Maybe I m wrong. Does anyone know about it ?

Man , your car looks great! Isnt that WRX taillights? Yeah , thats what I thought it wont probably fit if i get bigger spacer then there ll be no room for lug to bolt in.

fitting a 18x8 wheel on the car has nothing to do with your current 18x7.5" wheel. You had to use spacers because you got the wrong offset. Get the right offset and the 18x8 should work. Of course I could be wrong but am pretty sure I have seen some people use a 18x8 wheel on a 3rd gen.

thanks, yup they are. you can always bolt up an adapter(spacer with studs), but then your wheels will stick out like a motha and look horible, find out what he offset is and go from there

18x8 with a 30 offset is just about perfect.

I have 18x8's all the way around with no spacers and no problems. Offset is key.

hey rand, where did you get your spacers from?

I see you have some in the rear, any in the front?

I may wanna get a set of spacers/studs to push out my 4th gen rims a little bit closer to the fender lip (not as far as your rears though)

I wish I had a dollar every time I saw this same post...

I have 17 inch rims on right now, and they are 8.5 inches wide. I have no spacer. I had 18X9s on there before... and had to use a 5/8" spacer on the rears because it's lowered and the offset didn't work. It's all about the offset, not the width of the rim necessarily.

I have 18x7.5 with a 45mm offset and they are close to rubbing the shocks in the back but its not too bad.

www.crowautomotive.com

That link is on my Homepage on the wheels page as well.

I have 20mm adaptors with studs built in on the rear, and 5mm spacers on the front. Hub-centric from Crow Auto. The perils of running 16x8 wheels with a 50 offset The things I do for a cheap set of 16 lb. wheels.

The wheels might be for sale soon, have to find a set that will fit over my Z32 front calipers.

BTW, check out the pics, the rears aren't so far out with my new spacers.
