carpet coming loose

carpet coming loose

how is the carpet held down to the car? is an adhesive? the carpet near the rear doors on both sides are loose.

any suggestions? thanks

If I remember correctly, the carpeting is not glued down. There may be double sided tape in certain spots, but mostly it is the way the carpet is molded and clips under the trim were door wells are. It is possible the staple on these clips have come loose. Just pop the trim off and give it a look see.

yea i just took some glue i had left over when we were laying down those linoleum tiles in our kitchen. that stuff is pretty sticky.

hope i don't need to replace the carpet anytime soon...
