Need help on my gauges

Ok, I've got two clusters, an SE and GXE cluster. I'm wanting to move the white face gauges onto my cluster. Do I just remove the needles and then the gauge faces will peel right off? How do I go about switching the gauges? Also, what bulb size is behind the gauges? Thanks

why not just swap out the whole cluster, I dont hink it will work right the way you want to do it because the needle will move differently then it will on the SE gauges since the SE guages go up to 145 and the gxe gauges dont go up as high but take the same space. and the bulb # is 194

Swapping the faces sounds too hard and not likely to work right after you're done. Also even if you try to remove the faces, they must of been there like for 10 years and you might destroy them while trying to take them out.

Yeah, I just ended up swapping the odometers last night. Now I gotta wait for a ride to the auto parts store to get some bulbs so I can put my whole black dash in

hrmm i hear a write up coming from my head.

Pretty much simple thing to do.
The hardest part is taking out the cluster from the dash.
Now once you have taken the dash apart, disconnect the 4 wiring terminals from the back of the gauges. Now all you do is behind the location where the odometer is you take off the screws that are holding the fuel and temp guages. There is a wire that runs from the odometer to the back of the gauge, disconnect that. Separate the white plastic from the black plastic that are held in the middle. Do this carefully just press the tabs in and pull one side at a time. Once you removed the two bolts the odometer is prettey much a swap out from the original max odometer to the new white faced cluster. Make sure if you have the vg engine that you use the se vg white faced(89-91) 125 cluster.
