Wheel bearings noise and stereo tape question
Wheel bearings noise and stereo tape question
Hi All:
At how many K miles the wheel bearing would normally start making noise? I suspect mine have already started...
And my stereo only plays the right audio channel from the tape - any one experienced with this problem? I have a chance to get a stock 93' Max stereo for free from my friend but first thought to check with you guys if something other than swapping stereos could have been done. FM is fine, only the tape outputs one stereo channel of two.

can't speak to the bearing issue, but as for the tape player... it's probably beyond help. mine did that intermittently for a while, then constantly. no amount of head cleaning or demagnitizing will save you now. muhahaaaha!
ummm yeah. okay change stereos.

Well, I actully fix electronics so I did not even try to clean the heads - waste of time and money. Will swap the stereo and try to fix the old one when I have time. Thanks for the info! Still loking into the bearing noise though
