120,000-mile service rec's?

My 92 SE turned 120K recently and I've been going over all of the old service records to see what was replaced and when. Earlier in the car's life, it had two new injectors (at 26K and 43K), a new starter (at 57K), and a new oil sending unit (at 58K). Also, freakishly, for some reason all four wheels were replaced at 22K miles. *Shrug* I had new rotors installed at 103K miles. And there's been the occasional ball joint and cv boot.

The car has been, ahem, "spiritely" driven for over ten years now by my father and myself and was in fact road raced a couple times while I was away at college.

So in a nutshell, it's pretty old. It's never, as far as i know, had any work done on the transmission (5-spd), struts, springs, exhaust, or any sensors. Some stuff that's going wrong (door locks, windows, etc) I can fix myself. But the engine and tranny are starting to feel overall a bit (okay a lot) sluggish. And besides grounding the VTC's, I haven't done anything major to the car.

Finally my question: What are some essential things I should have checked out at 120k? Should I have the tranny opened up and inspected for bearings and clutch wear? Should I have my knock sensor and o2 sensor checked? Are my struts going to blow up soon? Since the starter and injectors have gone bad in the past, is there a way to check their health now?

Yes lots of questions I know, and I realize I could just bring this into my dealer and say "do your worst" but I don't really have hundreds (thousands?) of dollars to spend on this right now. So any input would be appreciated. Not just for me but for everyone whose max is getting a little long in the tooth.

j/k. I'd have to tell you this though: I intend keeping my car for a long while and toachieve this, almost everything i have had replaced have lifetime warranty. that saves a wholelot on repair. start from one part and work your way up...like suspension up (control arm bushings, balljoints, bearings, tie rods, cvs, struts, springs, mounts....) but you usually cant catch everything before it goes bad so just be prepared.

how do you diagnose a bad ignition coil? are the symptoms the same as a bad spark plug or wire? what happens anyway? late/weak firing?
