how much to get car repainted same color?

i was just wondering how much to get the car repainted the same color, because my dad is considering that, plus the paint on the bumper is not that great, there are parts where its yellow.

well anywhere decent that i asked charge around 1500 and up, that's for door jams and under trunk and hood and gas filler door.... add a extra 750 for engine bay.... they have places that will d just outside for 800 but i don't trust the paint job..... most nice places charge 3000 and up for good paint....

If a car is painted right then the color doesn't matter. all paint and primer should be taken off first. What you are talking about is more like a touch up paint job. Don't pay more than 1000 for that.

most shops in LONG ISLAND charge 2500-3500 for (minimal) bodywork and full refinish, in and out, guaranteed for as long as you own the car

i dont know anyone who will spray kandy for less than 5k. the ammount of care and detail it takes to get it right outweighs how much you charge.

I'm sure it depends on where you live, but go get some estimates and you'll see that you could easily spend over 3K.

Maybe just get the bumper re-done, it shouldn't cost more than 300$ I would assume.. You could basically buy another 3rd gen for the cost of a good paint job, its just not worth it IMO.

My not be worth it to you, Chief, but for a lot of guys who have spent a lot of money on performance and maintenance on their cars, it is worth it. I've considered buying a new 3rd gen with a decent paint job, but considering how much I've spent on my car (aftermarket and repairs and maintenance) and the fact that I know where my car has been and that is always been well maintained it wouldn't make sense for me to buy a new car and start all over with everything. Not ******* your opinion, just giving mine

I hear what you saying man about painting your car.if you just got done finishing up the long list of investments on your car's peformance , supension; exteiror and interior ahould also follow those same lines . your car is your car and you feel and if you want continue what you started you should go ahead.
I know how you feel .i thought about buying a new ve ,but i already invested so much money in the engine , maintaining it and also on insurance and secrurity systems. why not finish what you started and when your satisfied with the outcome then enjoy and if you get bored move on to something else. anyway i gotta repaint my car and from a great shop where i et the hook up they wanna charge 1400 for the whole car and my car is pearl white.
