i have a 90se auto,what do think is the problem? i start my car after a few min i take off. my tranny takes the 3 gears and it take a while for the fourth gear to kick in. thats at 45mph +. when the tranny is hot after like a half an hour it's fine. what can it be? is my tranny goin bad?

really? wow! didn't know that you have to ride the car for about 5 min before the tranny takes the 4th gear.

 

that doesn't seem right that it has to warm up. is it cold where you are? that could be the reason since it takes a while for the tranny to warm up. if not, check the level of the fluid.
