Geof.. sorry I don't post much. I am on the other board more. wink wink.
But to answer your question on the duals.
You would have to cutout the spare tire well or somehow push it up to make the exhaust piping more efficient in flow. What I did was hammer the spare fender well from below all around up about 5 inches. This gave me plenty of room for the extra muffler piping. Then I took out the wood piece that covers the spare in the trunk, glued some wood beams around the edges and center to raise it up 5 inches so I could still fit a spare in my trunk and uses the extra space for amps. So the trunk looks normal with the spare but elevated all around about 5 inches.
The string that is hanging in the rear is a static line or ground wire. It is suppose to reduce static buildup from rotating tires and mechanical devices. It's a metal piece cover by a plastic layer and is attached to your chassis. It is suppose to stop static shock and reduce dust buildup on the exterior and interior. So far I have only notice less dust buildup on my interior (especially the dash). You can pick it up at local speed shops for around $9.
Yeah the bmw lights are painted aztec red to match my exterior w/the blue angel eyes. I thinking of upgrading these soon to the parabolic HID bimmer ones since I have seen how HID's look and love them.
Will post somepics of my finish interior soon when I get this digital cam to work.
