I thought our ECU's weren't *really* OBD-1 compatible, even though they're supposed to be...?

Thats pushing my knowledge in this area. I havent really searched for it.

I know it will work because of the connector, but I dont have any experience with it. We have a scanner at school, but I dont have a VE to hook it up to.

why do you need to use a scanner when the ECU throws codes using the LEDs right on the ECU??

because the school paid for it, and its fun to play with. Aside from that, I was simply saying that there is infact a port for it, but there is no need to use one, even if you do have access to one with the appropraite (sp) adapters.

I mean seriously if you want a heads up display for your ECU, wire in LEDS to the wires on your Consult plug under the dash --> http://www.angelfire.com/80s/tsi200sx/Projects.htm (bottom of the page)

Nismo87 posted this link a while ago. I did this on my Maxima, it was kinda cool to not have to crawl under the dash and fiddle with that annoying screw on the ECU.
