Weird auto se shift . ?????

Driving is fine no slips etc. as soon as i hit the highway with overdrive on . its like the car dosent know what gear to stay in for untill you hit like 100.... it downshifts with the slightiest pedal movement , The way it shifts seems irradic ... Almost like a shift solenoid is shot , Anyone with any of these symptoms... I really belive the tranny is still good . Just seems like a sensor is doing it tps or revolution sensor...... Anyone with similar problems post =D

By the way the rpm is always on the nose , it dosent slip just dosent seem to shift at the right time .. The shifts are irradic and somewhat jerky.

Yeah mine has had this problem for quite sometime. I actually liked it because I can kind of decide if I want to lower my RPM range. But I think that the problem has gotten worse of something.
Only when the engine is cold the auto tranny does not want to shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. Kind of high revs. Don't think that it is the tranny because it only does it once and it is all good. Gotta be some kind of sensor. There is a post some where in here with crazy amount of post. Some think that it is the VTC, coils, ECU, the list never ends. From the sounds of it not even the Nissan dealers know what the hell the problem is. Don't know if I will ever know the exact problem.

Transmission controller...are you reffering to that one button that has "p", "auto", and "c"? Also how were you able to check your coils and VTC? Just curious!! This seems to be a big problem with 3rd gens!! It's just messed up that no one (not even Nissan) knows exactly what the problem is. It got so bad that I thought that I dropped my trans but lucky it was not. I really don't know what's up!! But until I fix this problem I really don't want to drop any more cash into the ride. Just in case the only option is to part with her.
