Finally "done" with my car
As some of you might know, my car got into a wreck and was totalled by insurance. Damage wasn't too bad, so I decided to fix it. I'm not posting pics until I'm all done though.
I finished putting in the "new" interior and put on the SE steering wheel. I'll never go back to the spaceship GXE wheel ever again. Here's a summary of what it takes for Paul to fix his car
1. Buy parts car in Houston
2. Take off fenders and hood, put on my car
3. Cut out radiator support and weld it onto my car(fun)
4. e36 headlights
5. Stripping out both interiors, putting black leather in mine, selling maroon cloth. Still having issues with the rear seat belt assemblies. I think they got screwed up in the wreck. SE gauges and steering wheels own the GXE.
And that's about it!
I still have to get a new flange welded onto my new exhaust and I've got a leak at the manifold Y joint that I'm gonna get new gaskets and bolts for.
What else do I have coming in the next week or two?
1. 35% tint all around
2. Bodykit coming in on Monday
3. Respray of Sand Ghey with shaved door moldings
4. WSP resonated B pipe with OBX rice canister(rear valence should hide the can and the tip looks like Greddy, if it's too loud I'm putting my 5th gen muffler on it)
Before the end of summer?
5. Five speed conversion(got the parts car ready to be swapped)
6. Starting engine rebuild process to get ready for the rice juice, muhahaha
7. 6.5 inch components with amp
8. Rear disc brake conversion, haven't decided if I'm gonna get all new rotors, pads, and SS brake lines yet, prob not, haha
So, I think by time my ride gets outta the paint shop, I should be happy with the result. I'm thinking about buying some seat covers like michael and chris, but it depends on how much dough I have left over at the paint. I might just save it for my books in college that I'll need in the fall.
I'm done, any thoughts, questions, comments?
