advice

ok guys
i just bought a 89 maxima GXE in very good condition for 1500
sadly it has an automatic

I need some advice as to where to begin as far as modifying it. I want to keep it as stock looking, and sounding as possible while going fast as possible. Would it be best to do a swap for a newer maxima engine? I know i would have to convert everything to OBD. What route could i go to make a lot of power with the current engine? So far the only parts i could find was a stillen air filter, a chip and a greddy exaust. Does anybody make headers, cams, or a turbo system for it? I really don't want to run NOS since i want power on tap at all times. Any advice, or websites you could point me to would be greatly apreciated.
