Just got my first Max 93 GXE luxury package perfect condition paid $7000.00 Canadian. Thats about $5400.00 US.
I think that is a good deal considering the quality of Nissan products.
Anyway, Ihave done a front brake job and I did not Machine the rotors. They look to be in excellent condition. However after using all the anti squeal products the brakes still squeal and I get vibration at higher speeds (ie: 140klm or 85mph plus)
If the rotors are slightly out of round could that cause the squeal and or the vibration I am experiencing?

it'll cause the vibrations, definitely. remove the rotors and have them turned/machined. most parts stores can do this in about an hour for $5-10 each.
when you do that, sand the surface of the pads across the direction of the rotor with 60 or 100 grit sandpaper to remove any grooves that have developed in the pads.
that should help with the squeal also, but you never know. the GXEs here in the states have drums brakes in the back and they're usually the cause of the squeal. I know some GXEs up there have disc brakes, so I can't comment on that until I know drums or discs in the back.

Thanks, I'll do that this week end. Rear disks as well but for sure the squeal is from the front.

did you put shims on the brake pad when you insalled them or is the anti-squeel product you talk about the gel stuff. Also what type of pads are they. some of the more metallic pads tend to squeel. Since there is metal in the pads you get a metal on metal squeel.

Or the rear caliper is screwed. I wish I had more experience at this but I guess I will have by the time I finish this.
Can the emergency brake cable (spring assembly) on the caliper be fixed without replacing the caliper or the cable??

yeah you can take off those items w/o removing the calipers.

I feel a little like a fool but it's not the emergency brake and calipers are ok, the pads were jammed up with corosion and couldn't release after the caliper compressed. I cleaned it all out works ok but I think new pads and machined rotors will be going on this week end.
Thanks for all the advice it sure helps us newbies
