suggestions for muffler for custom excaust

im planning on making a custom mandral bent excaust+"y" pipe and i was wondering what i should use for a muffler. i was looking at some magnaflows but i dont know what they sound like. does anyone have a magnaflow and if so which one and do you like it? do they sound like the GReddy Sp? i like the sp but its kind of tinny up in the high rpms i think,no saying i dont like it but i was looking for soemthing that has a more solid sound. let me know what you think about what i should get. thanks

Your not gonna get the exact sound of the GReddy without laying down the cash for it. The Magnaflow is gonna be loud if you don't put a resonator in the B pipe somewhere. It's a straight-thru design which is good for exhaust velocity, but might be too loud for your tastes.

I actually plan on getting a Magnaflow, with the longest resonator that Warpspeed can put into the B pipe.

yeah magnaflows are nice, deep, and loud. thinking about puting in a 20 inch resonator to hush mine down a bit.

I have a large resonator and a Dynomax super turbo muffler. I like the sound and there isnt a drone in the car. I can actually have a conversation with my wife while driving.

here is a link to what it sounds like

So any 2.5" glasspack will work as a resonator?

i think so, but i might be wrong. but it seems as long as the sound waves are absorbed by something, like in this case, the fiberglass packings.
