CAI for custom cold air box.

Well i'm planning on building a cold air box out of aluminium or thin sheet metal where the intake box and battery used to be. This is for a 91 SE 5-spd. I already relocated the battery to the trunk. What I need to know is, are there any cheap 3" intake pipes I can get that fit and would run from the intake manifold over to this area. Like an ebay CAI that you know of that will get me a pipe in this area. I can then build the box around the intake pipe and add the map sensor, and a K&N 3" cone filter inside the box. I've built a box before for a racing 4-wheeler, and I've seen these setups done on alot of other cars. They seem to provide the best HP gains. Since they give the same cold air as a CAI but shorter intake piping for faster throttle response. Something like a cheap short ram would probably be pretty good.

Thanks

are you wanting a pipe that goes straight across to where the battery used to sit? I'd try ebay. If you are wanting something that still follows the lines of the WSP or PR CAI, then get an Eclipse intake off ebay. I think that's the one crazy4maxima used
