Im looking at recharging my AC. But I cant find anywhere how much to use or how much it holds, or for that matter, get anybody to tell me. Over charging can be bad. What is stock "recommended" amount of freon "R-134a" 3 lbs?

 

Just go to Walmart and buy the kit that comes with the pressure gauge. Hook that up to the low pressure line. It will probably be empty. Then put part of the can in and hook up the gauge again. Do this until the gauge is in the range it needs, to be. Just buy the kit and follow the directions. It's really easy.

 

Thats what i need !!!! a pressure gage ! im so scared of overcharging that i put like 3/4 of a can in and the compressor still clicks on for a bit then off then on then off its driving me nuts ! So walmart hu? never though to look there ! thanks ! I know theres no leaks or it all would have come out over the summer it just needs more. this thing hasnt been charged in years !

 

Yeah 24.99 for the gauge, a hose with a connector, and one 14 oz can of r-134a.
