valve cover polishing

i recently had to do injector work so i decided to take off my valve cover and clean and polish it up.... but i do not know what i should do to make it look really nice... what im tryin to say is what should i use to clean it up like steel wool pads or different kinds of sandpaper??? also i was wonderin if it is possible to polish the upper intake manifold, cuz it seems kind of rough, but soft if i get it wet..... any info or help would be nice... thanks ahead of time

do a search on google for metal polishing. you'll come up with zillions of methods. (the covers are aluminum, btw. easy to polish, different methods than steel.)
