What's the thing draping over your coolant overflow bottle?

My guess would be a ballast to an HID kit.

But that's just a guess.

Yeah... looks like it. That, or some ghetto fabulous neon hookup!

Dan and Brandon got it goin on in the engine cleaning department. And you say you used a pressure washer and dealer supplies, huh? Very nice, Brandon! And Dan, how'd you clean YOUR engine?

Whole process took me about an hour. Wet down the engine bay with low pressure water and spray Simple Green anywhere and everywhere, but avoid getting it directly on belts. Let it sit for 2 or 3 mins, but make sure it doesn't dry. Rinse and repeat. After about an hour of that, most of the crud was gone, but for body painted panels, a touthbrush and a rag was required. I used a whole bottle of Simple Green automotive (be careful not to inhale the fumes, they are quite bad for the throat). Now the key to making it look that nice, was not in the cleaning, but in the shining. I used some old spray on eagle one wet tire shine I had laying around and sprayed that all over the engine bay. Not exactly the smartest idea as that stuff is surely flammable and doesn't smell so great when it burns off, but it worked for the pictures. Once you get your engine fairly clean, it will stay that way for quite some time. The engine bay looks much cleaner now that I've gotten the ingrained sand off of the body panels in the engine bay and it's to the point that those panels feel as smooth as the waxed exterior does. Hope this helps.

That's cause you spend all of your time polishing the hell out of everything and no time cleaning it! Oh well, I'm just jealous.

looks very nice Brandon. Do you work for a dealer or did they just let you use their equipment?
