[flaming allowed] I feel pretty proud of myself now. I just changed out my dist cap, plugs, rotor, and fuel filter all myself.
I THOUGHT I released all the pressure of the fuel filter. -> I tool my gas cap off, took out my fuse, and started it up...and about 2 seconds later it cut off. Then I pulled the top hose out and PFFFFF - gas all over my face and stuff.
But, no more missing...or mis fires. PERFECT purring on the idle @ 850 RPM. YES!
Thanks to DA-MAX a lot and all others who helped me out.
My last task, NGK 8mm wires.[/flaming allowed]

to relieze fuel pressure, one way to do it is to pull the fuse from the fuel pump, so it doesn't run, then run the engine until the pressure dies off and there's no fuel pressure in the lines... then disconnect the fuel filter.
ahhhh. makes sense! of course, I usually just clamp that b**ch with a vise grip and a shop rag and just remove slowly..
like my romanian master mechanic boss used to say "You got to feeeel it"

Thought it was supposed to be 750. Well, at least on my VG.
