It may be out of refrigerant or the compressor isn't engaging for some reason. The system is really pretty easy to operate (when it's working). Push "auto" and set whatever temp is comfortable, and it does the rest!

Being that it's a 93, it running R12 as a refridgerant. In order to buy R-12 you have to be a licesenced, certified AC technician. Even then, R-12 is about $80/lb. If it's empty you might need around 1.5 lbs. Don't forget you have to pay the technician too. Figure about $150 for a recharge. OUCH!
Even worse, if you have a problem you could leak all of it out on your way home.

There are supposedly R12 compatible refridgerants out there like R-12a and Freeze-12, but I've never used them. They are supposed to be in the $8-12/lb range.

Third option is converting your system to R-134a. Refridgerant is $8-10/lb as well. You can buy a cheapy kit at your local auto parts store for $30-50. Make sure you get one with a gauge. If you've never worked on AC before, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before you start. Matter of fact, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before you buy the kit.

You may have a leak in your system which will need new parts. You can inject a dye into the system that will show up any leaks under blacklight.

I believe many 93's use R-134a, depending on the manufacturing date.
