Great look for MOTM, huh? I think being MOTM if Jinxed for 3rd gens!

This happened last monday.. $2500 damage.. so far I've replaced all the major parts with salvage parts for under $300. now I just need to get it tot he body shop and have it all done. I may walk out with a healthy profit on this, since the insurance company wrote the estimate for $2500 and my check for $2000 + 500 deduct, which I'll get back then the ins company gets done suing the city for the money.)

Also inside are a couple pics of my warpspeed Y pipe, and how much clearance there is.. not much to worry about there!

For those of you wondering about how much inner tire wear you'll get with a lowered car, there's a couple shots of one of my tires.. this is with eibachs and properly rotated tires. you'll notice there's a tad bit of extra wear on the inside edges.. not much to worry about.

 

smashed one headlamp assembly so you might as well do the bimmer headlamp conversion

 

ask on the e36 board over there, i did and theyre willing to sell some headlights for 50 +shipping, i dunno if thats a good price, try your luck...

for that much money, it's cheaper than buying a new OEM one! (oem light is about $130 from courtesy)..
even junkyard lights are $50 each.

So what happened that caused this?

 

I didn't expect to see that much damage. Well, alteast you will get it fixed and maybe make some $$$ out of this. It's kind of weird how both 3rd gen MOTM have front driver side damage.

BTW, nice pics of the WSP Y-pipe. Sometimes it's a little tricky to take pics underneath the car.

I was on my way to school.. follow a dump truck around a left turn at a light.. when we get around the corner, the guy slowed down, no blinkers or anything, jsut slowed down.. I was like WTF?, so I pulled around him and started to go by on the right... THEN the dumbass decides to make a right turn.. my headlight went straight into the battery box behind the gas tank.. he dragged my car completely off the side of the road before he realized I was underneath. oh well. he got the ticket and I get the whole front end redone for less money than it would cost to fix just that corner.
