help!!!

i had this clacking noise coming from my driver side front everytime i turn for about a month then oneday..i was driving and my car suddenly was making a weird noise from the same area..i pulld over i and i didnt see anything..i went to put my car back in drive and all i heard was grinding..a guy told me i need a new drive axle..do u think its true??..can anybody give me some advise???

You need a new axle. It sounds like your boot has been torn for a while now. I would get it replaced if your getting a grinding now.

um... yeah, you should probably get the cv joints checked out when you hear that noise, now you've learned a lesson, this process is much cheaper than an axle. live and learn... when you hear a noise that sounds like it definitely shouldn't be there, go get it checked...

$79.00 for new axle with $59.00 plus core charge. Replace axle (about an hour or so). Take old axle to reclaim core charge. While you are there, make sure you have someone inspect the passenger side also.
