Rotor Question
#9
If you would read my first post...
"Yes, I took the damn screw out."
It's out, it should come right off. It's not coming right off. I am pretty sure it's the original one and it ain't moving, which is why I am asking the question.

i had the same prob use a little lubricant on the center rod that mounts the rotor, just try working in the lubricant and use a pair of pliers to pull up and you work the rotor is should eventually come off. The heat from the current and engine sometimes seizes the rotor on!!! Let me know

there are two screws on the hub of the rotor. I don' remember the exact size. But just evenly un screw them and it should lossen them up. If you are gonna replace the whole rotor the hammer will also do the job.

I had same problem. Just a note of caution be careful not to try to twist rotor off. I used vise grips and the twisting motion damaged the optical timing plate that is attached to the shaft the rotor attaches to. This required repacing the distributor. Even after removing old distibutor, I couldn't remove rotor before I turned in core. For the life of me I can't understand why it was frozen to shaft.
