what did you pay for the 2K muffler, I found a SE version and wonder what to offer. If you had to do it over would you?

ah sorry for the late reply. I paid about $200 for it, which is a little much considering all the hangers were cut off and there was no tip. But that's the price you pay for being one of the first guys to use on. Used on this board, I've see them go for like $150 more or less. If you see one at the boneyard, I would suspect you can get them cheaper. I have the Cattman Y, w/ a different flex section(old one blew out and was extremely noisy from the get go) RT cat w/ custom flanges, custom cat-back, no resonator and of course the 2K muffler. IMHO, this set up sounds excellent. Very quiet but there is a nice growl when you step in it. There is some whistling when you let off the gas but I don't know if there is a leak or if it's just the nature of the beast.

At the NW meet, everyone liked how the car sounded when I was giving everyone rides. They were like "yeah, nice and quiet during normal driving and throaty when you rip it". "That's what I would do.".

So yeah I would do it again definately. I'm 33 years old so I pretty much though w/ the rice muffler sounds. I'm totally sick of that noise. So that's where I'm coming from ya know? And as a bonus, stock Nissan mufflers tend to outlast aftermarket mufflers by a pretty large margin. My 92se stock one was still quiet at 100K miles!
