Has anyone purchased and installed this aftermarket wing.

I saw this wing on ebay today and I like it I think it looks a little better than the factory one. I just wondered if anyone has a pic of one like this installed.

I am pretty sure I have seen a max or 2 with this wing. I think I have seen someone with one on here too.

oh just thought of something. If you have an SE (looks like you do from your name) then you will probably not want this wing. The reason I say this is because it will not lign up or cover up the factory spoiler holes. Under the factory spoiler there are 9 holes total. The 5 under the brake light (4 screws and 1 for the brake light wire) would definately have to be filled since the spoiler you linked to doesnt have a center part that goes to the trunk. The edges of that spoiler I assume have screws on it to fasten it to the trunk. The edges of the se trunk has clips on it and where the clips go are fairly big holes (probably 1") and the aftermarket spoiler wouldnt bolt up becasue of them.

So basically this is not a good choice of spoiler for an SE unless you get a GXE trunk. I however like it and may get one for my GXE one day.

It is nice, but awsm is right. If you just want the wing, I'd pass, since you would really notice all of the extra holes. Not to mention water drainage.

If you are going to paint your whole car, maybe you could have a shop fill your current holes and then put on the new spoiler.

just my 2 cents

Yeah I actually am going to have my car repainted the factory pearl white so I can just get them to fill the holes when the do it. My only other question is since our factory brake light is in the middle and kinda attached to the trunk where would the wire for the break light run.

Does it run down one end of the wing?

Looks like it would have to run down one end of the wing. There aren't any other options.

did you read my post above? I tell where the light wire goes. Now if you are talking about the wing you are wanting to get then the wire will go down one end and then you can connect it up to the original plug (you will see it when you pull the underside cloth off) because it will probably be plenty long.

Thats also what I was referring too. ( The wing in the link above.) Sorry I kinda took it for granted that he had read Mike's post. But on the aftermarket wing it has to be ran down one end or you could use a radio or infared signal.
