We have a 1989 Nissan Maxima with a Bose radio system. The speakers failed, causing the radio not to work. We reworked one of the rear speakers and disconnected the other three speakers. Now, the radio will work on AM. When we switch it to FM, the circuit breaks. Could this problem be solved by reworking the other rear speaker?

You would probably save yourself a lot of stress and time by just replacing the whole system with an aftermarket system. The whole bose system is a problem in itself.
