whack temp gauge!!!

whack temp gauge!!!

why does my temp gauge work only when i hit a bump???? my 89 se doesent overheat or any thing but it urks me to see the dial on c one minute then in the middle the next!!

remove the guage cluster, then check for loose wries. ive come to find out they often tend to get loose.

also it could be the sensor on the water pipe (haha, i said water pipe) that is above the timing belt cover. on my se everytime i would take off fast the temp gauge would drop down all of the way until i let off of the gas. found out the sensor was somewhat broken. (could just be some mad g-forces pushing the water away from the sensor )
