I saw it on your car, and i think it would look nice on mine esp. cause mine are starting to color off from the paint color, and i was wondering how they were attached because i didnt see any screw or anything, and i was wondering if you could put em back on too if you wanted to.... (if i didnt like the way it looked or whatever) or did you have to basically destroy them to get them off the door? thanks..

they are just held on by adhesive tape, no screws or anything. all you need to do to take them off is heat them up a little bit with a heat gun or even a hair dryer and they basically peel off. and no they arent damaged at all, i still have mine sitting in my room. yes, you can put them back on, all you need to do is put some more adhesive tape on it and slap em on.

hey thanks, thats some good info. my body shop was going to charge me $25 each to take them off then sand them. then an adittional $50 a piece to paint. now i can save some money and take em off and sand them myself. may just keep em off if it looks good.

i've been considering this too, I think james max looks good with them gone, but the moldings do kind of look good on too.

1 more ?

James, how is it when you're in a parking lot? Do you finding yourself or ours hitting the door since the moldings were taken off? I've seen that side profile pic of your car before, but never notice the moldings were missing.

i originally took them off to repaint them....cuz they were faded so bad and turning yellow. and then when i had them off and cleaned all the adhesive crap from the doors i noticed how good it looked and so i kept it like that. and i like being the only max around with that done. i always get all these people thinkin that i had some huge custom work to get that done, and they are always surprised by what i actually did.

i've always parked pretty far away from other cars...so my car doesnt get ever get hit. so it would be the same with or without them.
