I will be mounting my crossovers in my trunk on my amp rack, will I have to run two seperate speaker wires for each set of speakers? It seems like an awful lot of speaker wire jsut to put the crossover in the back.

Yep --->

If you mount the XOs in the trunk you have no choice but to run a wire for each output. If you do a three way you'll have to run three wires back to the front. You'd do the same if they were mounted in the door, only the wires would split in the door, so you'd only bring in one pair and run short lengths of signal split wires to the various drivers.
Mine is similar using active XOs. You can, if you want, use thinner gauge wire for the tweeters as they carry less voltage. I ran two pairs of 16 gauge to each of the doors s to maintain signal quality and allow for the inevitable corrosion. I found the oxygen free (yeah right) wire to oxidize very fast anyway.

Good luck,
John
