Bye bye 3rd gen =(

The automagic finally gave out at 181k. I seriously thought about getting a rebuild ($1500 for stock or $1850 for performance w/ VB mod), but then there's also need for new brakes, an emergency brake cable, struts, and just found out my fuel injectors are slowly going bad. I decided it was time for a new car.

To keep a long story short I couldn't find a decent VE 5-spd in my area after a Summer long search so I went with a 4th gen (96se 5-spd) with 130k miles, bought it for $4600 in great shape so it was an ok deal. What do you think?

PS- parts listed in my sig will be F/S shortly.. PM if interested.

Good move. When I got my VE 5spd, I originally was looking for a 4th gen 5spd, but I could not find a decent one within the price range that I was looking at. Not only that, most of the 4th gen that were close in my area were automatics--I had to have a manual.

Yours looks nice! Congratulations. Just as long as it is a Maxima, you will always be part of the "family."

Put bigger wheels on a 4th gen, they are pretty hot looking with big wheels.

THX--

What are you going to do with the rest of your dead 3rd Gen? From the looks of your temp tags on the 4th gen, it appears that you are in VA.

If you are going to break down your 3rd Gen, there are some items that I would be interested in. Main door switch; door timer; driver side corner light, etc . . .
