Clear Corners, just a quick question
I just wanted to know, I have seen in sum nite pics awhile ago that the clear corners(or OEM) turn on when u turn on ure headlights. Is that true? Because mine only *** on when I turn on my turn signals. Just curious about that. Been thinking about that question for awhile now.

US corners are made to come on (both the large and small portion) with parking lights and the larger part comes on brighter when you put on the turn signal
UK corners do not light up at all (from the factory, but it's pretty easy to drill some holes and put bulbs in)
I would think it would be pretty easy to do the same for your corners if you want to put a bulb in there if there isn't already one there

Thanks Craig, will think about that. There's already bulbs in there, I just have to talk to the LTSA down here to see if I can. New Zealand is pretty picky about modding cars. They just brought an exhaust law. Can't have a LOUD exhaust or u will fail ure inspection. I passed

Just came back from the movies(LXG, yeah I know we are about a month behind in the movies) & I saw a jap import Max & it had its lights on with the corners on too. I guess its only US & Jap that the corners *** on from the factory. True bout Craig B, where u been hiding?

NZ & Aussie spec Max's have clear corner lites that only come on with turn signal & headlites on (well, they are Corner Lites, right?). Easy to mod them to use dual wattage bulbs - just replace the light socket with a dual filament type from a U-Pull-It type junkyard and rewire parks lites that mount in the headlite; no probs with legality if you use the low wattage filament for parks and the high wattage for corner - don't try and use same bulb to do both, you'll blow fuses etc. (was thinking of doing it myself but replaced standard 5w park lites with 10w bad boys). Note that our clear corners don't have side marker lites or wiring, but the lens is their (next mod on my list...). Jap spec Max's use this as a turn repeater I think. Our tail-lites also don't have side marker lites or wiring, but have a blanking panel (also next on my list... ).
Finally, trying to get a set of rear fog lites like euro Max's - we have reflectors instead due to some stupid aussie regulation.
PS: thought had to do my exhaust manifold studs - cost of parts NZ$250 from Nissan, cost for them to do the job NZ$1000! Ended up being a loose EGR nut on the manifold pipe itself - cost NZ$25
